Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Consultation and Engagement

The CCG has been engaging with patients, community members and stakeholders over the last few months to inform service developments for Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services.  These are the key themes we have gathered from this engagement so far which will inform the specification for the service:

  • Focus on early intervention and prevention
  • Priority is building resilience in children and young people
  • Improved transition from child to adult services
  • Reduced waiting times
  • Increased capacity within the CAMH service
  • Services to be delivered in a location which is most suitable to the children and young people and a time which is most convenient
  • Clearer pathways to be produced
  • Improved parental support
  • Improved effective multi-agency working
  • Easier access to effective support
  • CAMHS thresholds are too high
  • Move away from a tiered structure of children and young people’s mental health services
  • Increased knowledge from other professionals
  • Services to be more integrated
  • Lower level support services to be available
  • Increased staff training
  • Children shouldn’t be handed off to other services
  • Introduce self-help materials on the CAMHS website and anonymous positive experiences

We would welcome any additional comments so please email us on nelccg.accord@nhs.net .

The deadline for comments is Friday 26th May 2017

🌟💰🌟ORCHARD KS3 ENTERPRISE DAY🌟💰🌟

What a fantastic day to be part of our special school! Our KS3 learners having been planning an Enterprise Day over the past 4 weeks and what they delivered in aid of raising money for charity was truly inspirational! 👌🏻

They planned and delivered these great activities throughout the day:-

🌟Jamie’s Carwash

🌟Sienna & Leon’s Pizzeria Cafe

🌟Reagan’s Raffle

🌟Robert Street Card Factory & raffle

🌟Matthew’s Tombola

🌟Sophie’s Hair Salon

🌟Splash the managers

🌟Orchard Bake off cake 🧁 sale 😊

🌟Charlie’s Charity penalty shootout ⚽️

It was great to see not only our learners excelling in socialising with their peers and adults but the amount of parents who came to support our group of superstars! 😊👌🏻

Thank you to everyone that attending, bought items and the amazing company’s that donated prizes for the raffle, together we raised...???
